Basic Research for RNA Structural Chemistry

Understanding the biochemical/biophysical properties of synthetic RNA molecules

Studying how novel chemical modifications impact RNA structure, biochemical and biophysical properties, interaction with proteins, and molecular behavior in the cell is also important to understand in depth the new synthetic RNA molecule’s character, which allows for further refining the function of the molecule. The lab addresses such scientific interests through various chemical and biophysical approaches.
