Assistant Professor of Medicine
Division of Cardiovascular Medicine

Dr. Tran is a preventive cardiologist and physician-scientist at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School. She earned her MD PhD in the Medical Scientist Training Program at UMass Chan, investigating the development of adipose tissue under Dr. Corvera's mentorship. Following this, she completed her residency and fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at UMass Chan. During her fellowship, she undertook postdoctoral research training with Dr. Keaney, delving into endothelial response to shear stress. Dr. Tran joined the faculty in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in 2021. The primary focus of the Tran Lab is to understand the molecular mechanisms by which epicardial adipose tissue contributes to adverse cardiac remodeling and creates substrates for the development of arrhythmias.
