Emily Knox, PhD

Emily is from Worcester, Massachusetts and received her BS from Stonehill College in 2018. She first joined the Khvorova Lab as a summer intern during her undergraduate studies and then continued working in the Khvorova Lab as a research associate before starting her PhD studies. Emily received her PhD from University College Cork in 2024 and then rejoined the Khvorova Lab as a postdoctoral associate. Her work focuses on exploring the role of mutant HTT transcripts in Huntington’s disease pathology, as well as the timing of silencing HTT transcripts versus blocking mismatch repair. Emily loves to run, crochet, and knit when not in the lab.
