Block Schedule
The UMass Ophthalmology Residency Program is a 4 Year program with an Integrated Internship. Residents will spend the first 9 rotations of their PGY-1 with various UMass Chan departments and 3 rotations with the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences learning examination skills.
In the PGY-2 to PGY-4 years, residents will learn through a variety of offerings including, didactics, clinic, surgery, wet labs, and conferences. Residents are encouraged to enhance their learning through QI Projects, Poster Presentations, and Lecture opportunities at the regional and national levels.
