In 2020, UMass Chan Medical School developed an institution-wide COVID-19 website to provide updates for the campus community during the coronavirus pandemic. The site contained guidance, resources and policies, and included weekly surveillance testing results with the primary goal of keeping our community safe.
In September of 2024, the COVID-19 website transitioned into an archive-only site. The content and related links are no longer maintained or updated. Employees, staff and students may return to utilizing the following health services: https://www.umassmed.edu/studenthealth/ and https://www.umassmed.edu/hr/owb-wellness-eap/.
UMass Chan has changed its COVID-19 reporting requirements. Effective immediately, UMass Chan employees are no longer required to report positive COVID-19 test results to Employee Health Services.
Dually employed physicians, nurses, residents, fellows, medical and nursing students who work in clinical areas should, as always, follow all infection control and masking guidelines at that specific clinic or hospital, and continue to report COVID-19 positive results to Employee and Student Health Services, respectively.
