Presented by: Henry Feldman, Ph.D.
Biostatistics and Research Design
Boston Children’s HospitalHenry Feldman has been a senior member of the Biostatistics and Research Design group at Boston Children’s Hospital since 2001. A native of Oak Ridge, Tenn., he earned degrees in mathematics at Swarthmore College and applied mathematics at Harvard. After working on biochemical kinetics at NIH and lung research Harvard School of Public Health, he joined New England Research Institutes and entered the world of epidemiology. His first assignment was the Pawtucket Heart Health Program, followed by community trials in heart health promotion and aging. At Boston Children’s he has collaborated with faculty and trainees on research in bone health, obesity, and newborn medicine. His long record of teaching includes graduate courses and short series at Harvard, both live and on video. Since 1998 he has taught in the annual two-week summer seminar on cardiovascular epidemiology sponsored by NIH and the American Heart Association.
