Event Description
Please join host Northwestern University of Chicago, in conjunction with CLIC, for the seminar Un-Meeting on Lifespan and Life Course Research – Integrating Strategies to be held on March 2, 2020 from 8am to 4pm at the Northwestern Medicine Prentice Women’s Hospital in Chicago. Representatives from every CTSA hub will engage in robust dialogue about effective strategies for engaging in research across the lifespan and life course. The aim is to explore, enhance and disseminate strategies for lifespan and life course research study design. A welcome reception will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2020 from 5m to 8pm at the Ann& Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. For more information, please click here.

The Projects in Process Seminar Series (PiPSS) is designed to give CCTS trainees and junior faculty an opportunity to present their work in a structured format and in a forum of peers and faculty, with the goal of ensuring continuous, professional feedback and cross-fertilization that is required for excellence in research. The next session will be on Friday, March 13th from 11am-12pm in ASC7.2072 (Albert Sherman Building). Refreshments will be provided.
The March 6th speakers will be:

The 9th Annual Community Engagement & Research Symposium will be held on March 20, 2020. The breakout sessions serve as an opportunity to learn about innovative initiatives from community-engaged research teams from within the UMass system, as well as from local communities, other academic institutions, and beyond. Breakout sessions will be 60 minutes and include interactive discussion. To learn more about the symposium and previous breakout sessions, click here. Registration is now open. Breakout Proposals due by November 20, 2019 at 5pm EST by submitting your proposal to communityengagement@umassmed.edu. When submitting your proposal, please include the title of the breakout session, name(s) and affiliation of moderator(s), list of breakout session presenters with email/phone, background and purpose of the breakout session, and your anticipated format including a description of how you will interact with the audience. You will be notified by December 13, 2019 regarding the status of your proposal. Registration for the symposium will open on January 10, 2020.
